We have an open and inclusive work environment
We met up with Anderas Andersson who works as Area Coordinator Electrical at Gränges in Finspång, Sweden, to hear about life at Gränges.
I really enjoy working at Gränges, both in my role and together with my colleagues. We have an open and inclusive work environment and a good trust in each other. We encourage each other to try new solutions. Many times we need to test different solutions, rebuild to make it work, we usually say third time lucky. My work is very wide-ranging, no two days are the same. One day you can troubleshoot a breakdown of a machine while another day you can perform simple tasks such as changing a light bulb.
A central part of my work as an Area Coordinator Electrician is that I have the main responsibility for planning, coordinating and performing preventive and corrective maintenance in my department. Twice a year, we carry out so-called "planned stops" on several of our key machines and then it is my responsibility to make sure that everything is in its place, that everyone knows what to do and when the work should be done.
What I like about my work is that I have the ability to plan my working hours, it is flexible and I have a good balance between work and private life.
