Gränges' production facility in Huntingdon achieves ISO 14001 certification
As of July 16, 2020, the environmental management system at Gränges’ Huntingdon site in the US has successfully been certified in accordance with the environmental management standard ISO 14001:2015.
Through this certification, Gränges guarantees to continuously and consistently improve our environmental performance and ensure that environmental impacts are identified, measured, analysed and reduced. The independent, third-party audit of Gränges’ environmental management system at the Huntingdon production facility was carried out by NSF-ISR Ltd.
As the foundation of Gränges’ sustainability agenda, we have a strong commitment to develop sustainable products, minimize the environmental impact of our operations, uphold ethical business practices, and provide a safe and good working environment. Efficient management and use of materials, energy and water improves Gränges’ environmental and climate performance as well as our profitability and long-term competitiveness.

To ensure efficient management and sustainable EHS (environment, health and safety) procedures across our operations, Gränges has an ambition to certify all production facilities in accordance with ISO 140011) (environmental management), ISO 50001 (energy management) as well as ISO 45001 or OHSAS 18001 (occupational health and safety management). Gränges also has an ambition to certify all its production facilities in accordance with the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) sustainability standards.
