Polestar 0 project kicked-off in Finspång
In early February Gränges joined the Polestar 0 project with the ambition to create a truly climate-neutral car by 2030. Since there is no time to lose, the collaboration has already kicked-off.
Simon Borg, project manager and Linda Ahl, project coordinator are part of the project team at Gränges and hosted the Polestar project team’s visit at the Finspång facility the other week.
We asked three quick questions to Linda Ahl
How could Gränges contribute to a net-zero car?
We will be able contribute with our strong expertise in aluminium and product development linked to sustainability.
How will you collaborate on the Polestar project?
To begin with, we will work with Polestar, but in future phases we will probably have collaborations with other partners along the supply chain with the help of Polestar's contacts.
What do you see as the biggest challenge in this project?
It's a challenging timeline, but it makes us challenge ourselves a little extra!
Polestar0 project
The Polestar 0 project launched in 2021 with the belief that the car industry needs a full reset. The ambitious aim of the Polestar 0 project is to eliminate all sources of CO2e throughout the supply chain, from the extraction of raw materials to material and vehicle production, delivery and end of life, without relying on misleading offsetting schemes.
Curious to learn more about the project and vision- push play on the video below with the Head of the Polestar 0 project, Hans Pehrson.
