Meet Robbin Katarp who works as Process Development Engineer at Gränges in Finspång, Sweden, and learn more about life at Gränges.
As a Process Development Engineer, you have a varied job. No two days are alike. I am often involved when we introduce new products into production, for example by developing process parameters and making follow-ups of how they work in our production steps. I also work with analyzing data from our production processes and do follow-ups to identify replacement improvements. I mainly work with development linked to the heat treatment and hot rolling process.
The best thing about working at Gränges is the variety of work. Gränges is a global company while also having a local presence. You get to meet many competent people, you have a wide range of work and collaborate with many different functions.
I joined Gränges in 2008. When I was studying, I had the opportunity to carry out my thesis together with Gränges and then I got a job as a technician at the remelting plant. After testing a couple of other employers, I came back to Gränges 5 years ago. There are great development opportunities at the company and you get the opportunity to try out new tasks and take on new roles.
