Safety weeks a key tool in enhancing Gränges’ safety culture
Every year, Gränges recognizes World Day for Safety and Health by organizing safety weeks. Not only are they full of useful activities, but they are also important drivers of the safety culture within the Group.
Safety weeks boost the safety awareness through various activities, such as additional training, demonstrationtrainings, demonstration of new tools and equipment, and audits. During the Safety weeks, Gränges’ core values - Sustainable, Action-oriented and Committed - are also demonstrated at all levels of the organization.
Participation in activities is always high and suggestions on how the working environment can be made even safer are numerous, both in production and in the office corridors.
Safety weeks also help strengthen the workplace community by addressing safety as part of everyone’s responsibility and promoting not only safety at work but also in everyday life. In Konin the local team summarized this ambition through this year’s slogan: "Safe for yourself, safe for your family”.
Experiences are shared between the local EHS-teams to improve the safety performance and strengthen the safety culture across the Group. There’s nothing so urgent that we can’t achieve it safely – Safety First!
